TEACHING

APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

teaching

Teaching piano begins with loving the instrument and the music it can produce

Beginners

There isn´t a perfect age to start learning how to play the piano; only the method will change, but the approach will remain the same.

While younger students, will be encouraged to develop creativity and evolve their motorial senses though out learning to play the piano, older students will get in touch with their inner self, being able to reconnect with their creative and sensitive capabilities using the piano as a tool to communicate the language of music.

Advanced

Learning how to play the piano isn’t a difficult task, learning how to play music is. Working on musical ideas, getting to know the instrument and your own body when playing and being able to express what the music is telling, are important aspects in my lessons. As an advanced pupil you will work on the repertoire, will get to know yourself as a musician and discover and understand the meaning of the music you are playing.

Piano technique

Playing piano should be pleasant and feel natural. For this reason it is important that from the beginning a piano player learns how his/her body works while playing and develops a natural piano technique. This will allow the student to grow, along the repertoire, and play at ease, being able to enjoy and experience music without any boundaries.

Method & Repertoire

Every student is different, therefor, every student needs a personal approach, but the basics will be taught using The European piano method. This method goes through all important technical and musical aspects, including a big variety of music styles.

Advanced students will work on classical repertoire, from Bach to contemporary pieces, depending always on the wishes and needs of the student.
